Don't be sad, next year we will celebrate Advent together again

The Season of Advent, which begins on a Sunday about four weeks before X-Mas Day, is celebrated all over the world. Special Advent Calendars are made for children, with pictures or treats for each day of Advent.

In a lot of countries it is very common to have an advent wreath with 4 candles, every advent Sunday one candle more will be lighted so that on Advent 4th all 4 candles are burning and its bright, a symbol for Jesus as the light is coming to us on Christmas.

We wish all our friends around the world a peaceful 1st Advent 2021. Even if we cannot celebrate Advent together this year at the Adams Apple Club in Chiang Mai, as in previous years, we have not forgotten this special day and we are sure that we will celebrate Advent 2022 together again next year.

Happy Hanukkah 2021 to all our friends all over the world!

Hanukkah (Chanukah) is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime “festival of lights,” celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods.

Chanukah begins Sunday evening, November 28, 2021 and continues through Monday, December 6, 2021

The Hebrew word Chanukah means “dedication,” and is thus named because it celebrates the rededication of the Holy Temple.At the heart of the festival is the nightly menorah lighting.

The menorah holds nine flames, one of which is the shamash (“attendant”), which is used to kindle the other eight lights. On the first night, we light just one flame. On the second night, an additional flame is lit. By the eighth night of Chanukah, all eight lights are kindled.

Also spelled Hanukkah (or variations of that spelling), the Hebrew word is actually pronounced with a guttural, “kh” sound, kha-nu-kah, not tcha-new-kah.

Happy Loy Krathong 2021 ลอยกระทง

Don't be sad, next year we will celebrate the Loy Krathong together again

Loi Krathong takes place on the evening of the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar, thus the exact date of the festival changes every year.

The name could be translated as “to float a basket,” and comes from the tradition of making krathong or buoyant, decorated baskets, which are then floated on a river.

We wish all our friends around the world a Happy Loy Krathong 2021. Even if we cannot celebrate Loi Krathong together this year at the Adams Apple Club in Chiang Mai, as in previous years, we have not forgotten this special day and we are sure that we will celebrate Loy Krathong 2022 together again next year.

Diwali, the five-day festival of lights, is one of the most important holidays celebrated by followers of Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism. Diwali symbolizes the victory of good over evil and of light over darkness. On this day, people light up their houses with diyas and various colourful lights.

Don't give up on your dreams

We all hope that it will be a good month and that many of our problems can be resolved. The last few weeks have been very difficult for all of us. We fought and bravely held our position.

Unfortunately, we still do not know when we will be allowed to reopen. We all hope and pray that we can open again soon and welcome our friends and guests from all over the world again.

Let us hope and pray together that we will survive this difficult time in good health. Let us look to the future with confidence.
